The Courses

The Nottinghamshire boasts two magnificent 18 hole courses, set in 340 acres of parkland.  An ongoing programme of redevelopment and improvement to both means The Nottinghamshire continues to offer a challenge to golfers of all abilities.

The Championship Course

The Championship Course comprises a front nine, set around an impressive lake and waterways complex that not only offers a golfing challenge, but is also home to a considerable amount of wildlife.

The back nine offers a challenge with mature trees strategically placed to make it a true parkland course. Over the last few months we have been working with Kimber Golf, a world renowned Scottish Golf Architect company who have transformed what was an already wonderful golf course into a truly magnificent one. We have made significant changes to 12 of the 18 holes introducing new tees, more strategically placed trees and water features to enhance your golfing experience. The Championship Course is now known throughout the Midlands as a true test of golf.

The Signature Course

The Signature Course was extended in 1997 from a 9-hole to an 18-hole course, with the new nine designed by Peter Alliss. The front nine has recently undergone some major renovation and remodelling, and combines hedgerows and undulating fairways with large greens and water features.

Remodelling on The Signature Course has significantly improved both the design and aesthetics of this course, and several new tees have been added to both courses.

The 16th hole on the Signature Course is perhaps The Nottinghamshire’s signature hole, a 136 yard par 3 over water to a wide but shallow green, with an approach that rolls back to the water. The substantial lake in this area of the course is sensitively managed to enhance both aquatic and bird life, and is also the home of the 11th tee, which is on a peninsula in the middle of the lake.
