Amanda Fletcher, Managing Director of The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club, has been recognised by one of the leading business publications in the region for her leadership in these most challenging of times.
TheBusinessDesk.com recently announced its shortlist for the forthcoming East Midlands Leadership Awards, with Amanda recognised in both the “Transformational Leader” and “Empowering Potential” categories.
Amanda’s work in delivering a consistently fantastic customer experience during the club’s recent major investment programme, coupled with her incredible support of frontline NHS workers throughout the Covid‐19 crisis is understood to have caught the judges’ eyes.
Owner Alan Hardy comments;
‘This is fantastic and hugely deserved. Not only is this great news for our club, but it was also a genuine surprise to Amanda, who had no idea she had even been nominated!’
‘Since becoming Managing Director two years ago, Amanda’s influence has been enormous. She has an incredible affinity with our members, corporate guests and hotel customers, all of which is driven by an obsession with customer service.’
‘Everything we look at doing gets put through Amanda’s filter to determine what will it mean for the customer? How will members feel about that? What could we be doing to make that part of their day as special as possible?’
‘There’s not much more I can say here about how she helped us to support the wonderful NHS staff who stayed with us earlier this year, other than to remind everyone that Amanda stayed here with them….for 50 days!’
‘That is leadership by example and I am delighted for her. I hope all members will wish her well in the final later this year, even though I suspect Amanda is a tad overwhelmed and humbled by the recognition.’
Amanda herself commented, ‘It’s very humbling to receive a nomination like this. Everything I do at the club, I do for the members and all our visitors, but it’s genuinely gratifying to receive recognition from my peers.’
