We are proud to have been chosen to host the English Girls’ 2016 Open Amateur Stroke Play Championships.  The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club will host the under 18’s, 16’s and 14’s Championships in July.  This will be a first in England Golf’s history as they host all three championships at one venue, rather than across two companion courses.

“As Nottingham’s only 36 hole golf complex we are honoured to have been asked to hold the under 18’s on our Championship Course whilst the under 16’s and 14’s take on the Signature Course.” says Managing Director of The Nottinghamshire, Bill MacKenzie.

The club will host around 250 young golfers, during the four day event which will showcase much of England’s budding talent alongside welcoming international competitors. The Championship is open to girl amateur golfers and consists of 72 holes of Stroke Play, played over three days from 26 – 28th July 2016.

In addition to the three championships, the final of the Abraham Trophy will take place at The Nottinghamshire on Monday 25 July, when youngsters will play-off for the title of the most improved girl golfer in the country.
