Here at The Nottinghamshire we are proud to be celebrating the sport of golf with our local community through country wide initiatives, local community events and school programmes to encourage people of all ages and abilities to Get Into Golf.

Workplace Challenge

The Nottinghamshire is excited to be supporting The Workplace Challenge, a national programme from County Sports Partnership Network funded by Sport England.  The initiative aims to engage workplaces in sport and encourage physical activity.

Our team of PGA professionals are offering you and your colleagues a great opportunity to get into golf with FREE tuition at your place of work.  Our team of qualified coaches will provide all the equipment needed and can also include our state of the art GC2 machine to provide data analysis for the more experienced golfers through a number of challenges.

To nominate your workplace to take part in the challenge, please contact our Academy Director Daniel Parkers on 0115 933 3344 or email

School Afterschool Clubs

Ever wondered if the next Rory or Tiger is in your school?  Then now is the time to find out and run an afterschool golf club at your school.  Each student will be given their own ‘golf passport’ which is an award scheme designed by Golf Roots (add link) which progresses them through each skill in golf.  The conclusion of the programme will be a trip up to The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club for them to try their skills at our club with real clubs and balls!

We also run two inter school Tri Golf festivals where up to 10 schools compete against each other playing 8 different skill based game.

Our team also deliver group sessions with different community groups such as the Girl Guides, Brownies, and Scouts through either a one off session or a series of tuition to give everyone a great golf experience.

If you are holding an event and would like to The Nottinghamshire to attend please contact our Academy Director Daniel Parkers on 0115 933 3344 or email

Community Events

Leading the drive to get more people to play golf, our team head out on the road to support a number of community led events throughout the year.  Offering a fun introduction to the game of golf it is a great way to grasp the basic skills and get a feel for the game.
