A Message from your Club Captain Nigel Turner
It is with pride and enormous pleasure that I write this message as the 2022
Club Captain of the Nottinghamshire.
In my year as Captain I will strive to uphold the high standards set by my
predecessors and work alongside the Lady Captain, Hilary Smalley to promote
and provide a range of events in support of our joint charity, Rainbows Hospice
for Children and Young People.
At our club we offer a range of playing opportunities for golfers of all abilities
and my aim is always to encourage as many people as possible to be out on our
courses. We have mens, ladies, mixed, seniors and juniors sections which all
offer social and competitive golf.
Our fabulous courses are a great test of golfing ability for players of all
handicaps and both course have undergone significant changes in recent years
which have improved them aesthetically and in the way that they challenge all
players to be ‘on their game’.
We have good relations with our Management Team and we work closely with
them to ensure that both members and visitors are offered a good time at The
Nottinghamshire.
If you are a member, a visiting society or an opponent in one of our many inter
club matches, please come and find me and feedback anything which you feel
we could improve upon. If you catch me on a good day, I might even buy you a
drink although being a proud Yorkshireman, that’s highly unlikely.
